So, we’ve found you your perfect property. We’re helping you take care of the purchase. And we’ve reassured you that you won’t be needing a crash course in reading legal documents in Spanish. Now there’s another team of Viva people to introduce you to – our Homecare department.

No client of ours will open the door to their new property to find that there’s no electricity or running water. Nor will they have to trail the phone directory trying to figure out what the Spanish is for plumber. Or end up buying nasty furniture because they weren’t sure where the best shops were. Our Homecare team would gasp with horror at the very thought. Didn’t you come to southern Spain to relax!? You want your home in the sun to be hassle-free - and so do we.

When you buy a home with VIVA, you’ll get a call from one of our VIVA Homecare team to tell you all the things they can take care of for you. It’s quite a lengthy list – you’ll need a comfy chair by the phone. The VIVA Homecare service itself is free – you’ll just have to pay for any products or services you purchase.

Getting the basics sorted

As you get close to completion, Homecare will be itching to get in there and make sure your villa or apartment already feels like home. We can sort out all the technical bits like dealing with telephone and internet connection, water and electricity companies, and arranging your home insurance. In fact, whatever you need doing for your arrival, consider it done.

A change of locks or a total refurbishment

Whether you just want the locks changing or a total refurbishment, Homecare can help. If you’re buying an older property, perhaps you want a new kitchen or bathroom? No problem. We’ve got an approved list of the best local tradesmen and we’ll supervise the whole thing. We’ll be happy to show you round décor shops and introduce you to professionals who can help with all your furnishing requirements. Just tell us what you like, what you don’t like and if you’re furnishing your home for yourself or to stand up to the extra wear and tear of rentals.

We can even take care of everything long-distance, with plans and colour schemes being arranged via email or post. Just give us around 6-8 weeks to get it all completed before you arrive.

All the inside info you need to settle in

We can tell you all about local schools, buying a car, health insurance, the best shops, the best restaurants. We can recommend a gardener and find you someone to look after your pool. You name it. In fact, we can pass on all the inside local knowledge it can often take years to find out yourself. And if you’re moving over permanently, we can recommend speedy, reliable shipping and removal companies to make relocating as relaxing as possible.

Which, all in all, leaves you a lot more time to just sit in a pool chair and smile contentedly.

We offer a complimentary shopping service, to visit local shops with you which supply your preferred choice of style. We can put you in touch with companies who assist with all your furnishing needs from a full interior design service to basic furniture and appliances packages.

Cleaning & Floor polishing

We can arrange for the cleaning of your property prior to furniture installation and quotes for the work will be provided beforehand. Plus internal marble floor polishing and ceramic tiling, plus external terraces.

Tradesmen

Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, decorators, builders, locksmiths, general handymen.

Kitchens and bathrooms

Brochures, styles and packages from our preferred suppliers available on request or we can take you to the relevant suppliers to choose preferred styles with you.

Telephone and internet connection

We can order and manage the installation and connection of these types of service in your absence, or even if you are here, we will manage everything for you free of charge.

Shopping guide

From DIY to electrical stores, we can give advice on where to find the items you require for any size of project.

Insurance

We can provide quotes for buildings and contents insurance from reputable insurance brokers.

Air-conditioning

We can arrange for a quote to be provided from local companies who can install all types of air-conditioning and heating systems.

Security

Quotes can be provided for a complete alarm system, metal grilles for the windows, motorised and manual shutters and safes.

Key holding service
