Their story...
Ron and Leonie Sturgess decided to swap England for sunnier climes and spend their retirement years in the Costa del Sol. They moved to the region in October 2003.
"We'd visited southern Spain several times on holiday, so we knew it was right for us," explains Leonie. "We went to The Best of Southern Spain exhibition at Alexandra Palace and that gave us a good idea of what we would be able to get for our money. The VIVA staff were very helpful.”
After giving the team a list of their requirements, Ron and Leonie were taken on a personalised property tour of the area: “We described our dream home - an apartment with two bedrooms and a lot of space - and VIVA showed us some great properties.”
The Sturgesses fell in love with a new development in San Roque and decided to buy off-plan after viewing a computer simulation. Their new apartment is just minutes from the beach and overlooks one of the Costa del Sol's best golf courses.
“Life here is wonderful,” says Leonie. “When we came out here we didn't know anyone, but we've now got a good group of friends. There's plenty to do but even at the height of the season it's very laid back.”
"VIVA helped us every step of the way. The team is always on-hand and even offered an after-sales service to help with furnishing our new apartment. We've found our perfect place in the sun.”
