Health
Nothing is as important as your health and that of your family and that’s why we’ve included health information as part of España Expo. As you may have heard, healthcare in Spain is of an impressively high standard, which is a relief if you’re thinking of relocating for all or part of the year. The Spanish state health system, called SALUD, is one of the best in Europe and is complemented by a first-class private sector available through Spanish and international medical insurance companies. Here on the Costa del Sol, there’s an extensive network of public and private healthcare facilities including a state-of-the-art public hospital near Marbella, the Hospital Costa del Sol, and two brand new private hospitals, one in Benalmádena, and another in Estepona. Your decisions about healthcare will depend on your circumstances and it’s important to be as well informed as possible, so we will have a number of healthcare advisors available at España Expo to answer your queries.
Education
If you’re considering relocating to Southern Spain with your family and have children of school age, one of your first priorities will naturally be their education. So we’ve made sure there are advisors on hand at España Expo who can help with any questions you may have about your children’s education. In addition, many of the España Expo staff have children at school here on the Coast and will be happy to help with those questions we know are important to parents. There are plenty of education options available to your children and while we know they’ll prefer to make the most of the outdoor lifestyle and the spectacular climate, when the time comes to go to school, you can rest assured that they’ll be educated in a great system and become fluent in Spanish before you know it. You can choose between the Spanish system (either state or private) or one of the many excellent International Schools, where teaching is in English and your children will mix with children of all nationalities.
