As a team we have had to adapt, move and evolve with the market, which of course in these times has not been easy.
The internet changed our business inside out; the overseas property boom and bust turned it upside down; the fallout from the global economic crisis decimated almost everything we had taken for granted and established.
But we have survived because we love the Costa del Sol, knowing that whatever happens, it will continue to grow from strength to strength over the years to come, just as it has over the past four decades. It has a fantastic future and will benefit hugely from recent times and experience, as will our team.
There was a time – from 1998 to 2002 – when we had a network of twelve office locations servicing footfall traffic in every area of the Coast and beyond. But with the advent of the internet that dynamic changed, and rather than people walking into offices in their droves, the majority preferred to go online, letting their fingers and mice do the walking and research instead. Our site is older than Google, yet although the internet at first almost destroyed us, it then saved and now defines us.
Through the early and middle part of this decade we went through an almost unstoppable phase of buying interest and boom (the third) in Spanish property… to the polar opposite when a year ago business from peak to trough had fallen over 90%. We have witnessed the heartbreaking sight of business after business collapsing, including our old group support structure.
We have survived, however, because our name still stands for something. We still work for all our clients old and new alike; we have been able to adapt, understand and create real solutions for our clients and now genuine opportunity for everyone. We have our place and fulfil a need.
We have a passion for what we do, centred round members of our team having worked together for some twenty years in property on the Costa del Sol and loving every minute. Centred round helping people move to the Costa del Sol and live on the Costa del Sol, through good times and bad, then always back to the good!
