Grazalema
What's it like?
Flanked by the impressive rocky outcrop of Peñon Grande, the picturesque village of Grazalema is a popular base from which to explore the famous Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park
The charming village of Grazalema was established by Berber settlers and during the 17th-19th centuries was renowned for its cottage industry which produced blankets. Landmarks include the 18th century church of La Aurora, and the 17th century church of San José – formerly a Carmelite convent with paintings by a disciple of Murillo.
