Corvera
What's it like?
Corvera is a picturesque inland town around 270m above sea level, located on the southern slopes of the Sierra de Carrascoy mountains, yet only 20 kilometres from the city of Murcia . The privately owned Corvera airport – due to open in 2008/9 and which will be serving a comprehensive range of UK and European low-cost airlines – is just a 10-minute drive.
As you would expect, given the proximity of this major new facility, the town is currently expanding rapidly, with several new property developments underway, some of which include their own prestigious golf and country clubs. A fertile agricultural area, Corvera is surrounded by almond and melon groves, and boasts awe-inspiring landscapes. Given the region’s superb climate and clear skies, the renowned La Murta Observatory is nearby. A new airport will be opening in Corvera in 2008/9.
