Benissa/Benissa Costa
What’s it like?
Benissa and Benissa Costa is an appealing area with fabulous beaches, crystal-clear water, dramatic mountains, broad valleys and verdant countryside. It has a flourishing expat community, and is the location of VIVA Estates’ new, high-profile Costa Blanca area office.
The notable historical sites have been carefully restored to their former magnificence. The 17th and 18th century townhouses, narrow streets, churches and town hall are all fine examples of architecture, and the area has taken to its heart the thousands of residents from Northern Europe who have already put down roots here. Places of interest include the the Cathedral de la Marina Alta, while the old town – with its ancient prison now converted into a youth centre, and Casa de la Cultura - invites exploration.
